AIOU Autumn 2026 Admission Deadline: 6 October With Late Fee

AIOU Autumn 2026 admission deadlineAIOU has extended the Autumn 2026 admission deadline to 6 October 2026, with a late fee, for fresh applicants to the programmes listed in its current notice. Continuing students can also enrol in courses until 6 October, with a late fee. Check your programme in the official Autumn 2026 admission advertisement

before submitting an application or paying a challan.

The date was checked on 24 September 2026. AIOU may issue another notice, so use its current admissions page to confirm the deadline when you apply.

Who can use the extended deadline?

The advertisement separates new applicants from students already enrolled at AIOU:

Student Deadline shown in AIOU’s notice Where to start
Fresh applicant to a listed Matric, FA, associate degree, BS, B.Ed, postgraduate diploma or certificate programme 6 October 2026, with late fee AIOU fresh admission page
Continuing student enrolling in Autumn 2026 courses 6 October 2026, with late fee AIOU CMS enrolment

AIOU’s advertisement names a range of open and distance learning and face-to-face programmes. Find your exact programme in the notice and its prospectus before relying on the date. The fresh-admission deadline in this advertisement should not be treated as confirmation of an extension for new MS, MPhil or PhD applications; those applicants need to check their programme’s current admission notice separately.

If you are choosing between courses rather than checking a closing date, see AIOUTutor’s Autumn admission programme overview. Use AIOU’s current notice for the deadline because dates on older guides may differ.

How to apply for fresh admission

1. Check the programme prospectus. Open AIOU’s Autumn 2026 prospectus page and select the prospectus for the qualification and study mode you want. Confirm the entry requirements, available courses and instructions for that programme. A general admission advertisement cannot tell you whether you personally meet its eligibility rules.

2. Check what you will pay. AIOU provides an Autumn 2026 eligibility and first-semester fee document. The extended period also carries a late fee, but the admission advertisement does not state one flat late-fee amount for every applicant. Check the amount presented for your application or challan before paying; do not use an old fee screenshot as your payment guide.

3. Submit through AIOU’s fresh-admission route. Go to the official fresh admission page, follow its application link and complete the instructions for your chosen programme. Keep your application details and payment record. AIOUTutor’s admission form guide explains the difference between the fresh-admission and continuing-student routes, but the application itself belongs on AIOU’s portal.

AIOU’s advertisement also says manual forms for specified programmes are available through regional offices and sale points. Check that your particular programme accepts the manual route before obtaining a form.

Already enrolled? Use CMS instead

If you are continuing an AIOU programme, use AIOU CMS enrolment for Autumn 2026 course registration. The official notice gives continuing students until 6 October 2026 with a late fee. Review the courses and amount shown for your enrolment before submitting payment. Starting a new application in the fresh-admission system is not the same task as registering for your next semester.

If your courses, challan or enrolment status do not appear as expected, use the contact details on AIOU’s official admissions page or its help desk. Give them your student or application details and describe the exact problem; avoid paying against a date or fee amount copied from another student’s programme.

Why do other Autumn 2026 dates appear online?

You may see August or September 2026 dates in earlier announcements and admission articles. Those dates describe earlier stages of the admission cycle. For the programme groups named above, the currently linked AIOU advertisement states 6 October 2026 with a late fee. It does not say the late fee has been waived.

Likewise, an academic calendar gives a planned semester timetable; it is not a substitute for a later admission extension notice. If your programme is absent from the current advertisement, verify its own closing date with AIOU before assuming the general extension applies.

For other admission tasks, start at AIOUTutor’s Admissions hub. For this deadline, check the official advertisement first, then use the fresh-admission portal or CMS according to your student status.
