Students should therefore avoid relying on Autumn 2026 dates copied from older semesters. Use the status table below to identify your programme and submission method. Exact Assignment 1, 2, 3 or 4 due dates will need to be added once AIOU publishes the official Autumn 2026 schedule.

AIOU’s FAQ specifically states that students enrolled in BS, B.Ed, MA, MSc ODL and equivalent programmes are required to upload assignments through Aaghi LMS. It separately states that SSC and HSSC assignments are submitted to tutors.
Matric and FA Assignment Submission Dates
AIOU maintains separate assignment schedules for Matric and FA programmes, which is important because students should not assume that every programme follows the same dates or assignment pattern.
At present, however, the Matric and FA schedule buttons on AIOU’s Assignment Schedule page still point to files identified as Semester Spring 2026.
For Autumn 2026 students, this means the exact last dates for:
- Assignment No. 1
- Assignment No. 2
- Assignment No. 3
- Assignment No. 4
should not be taken from the Spring schedule.
Matric, SSC, FA and other HSSC students should also note that AIOU’s current FAQ directs SSC/HSSC assignments to the assigned tutor, rather than instructing these students to upload them through Aaghi LMS.
BA and Associate Degree Assignment Schedule
AIOU lists BA / Associate Degree / Certificate Course Programme separately on its Assignment Schedule page. The current linked document is still identified as a Spring 2026 schedule rather than Autumn 2026.
Associate Degree students should be particularly careful with general advice found online. Submission arrangements can depend on the programme, so it is safer to follow the instructions for your exact course and programme rather than assuming that every Associate Degree follows either the old tutor method or Aaghi LMS.
When the Autumn 2026 schedule is published, check both the assignment number and course credit/category before using a deadline.
BS, B.Ed and Postgraduate Assignment Schedule
AIOU groups ATTC, B.Ed, BS, ADC, BBA, PGD and MA/M.Ed programmes together in one section of its current Assignment Schedule page. The schedule linked there is still labelled Spring 2026.
For students in BS, B.Ed, MA, MSc and equivalent ODL programmes, AIOU’s current instructions require assignment submission through Aaghi LMS.
Do not wait until the last day to upload an assignment. The Spring 2026 official schedule for these programmes specifically advised students to submit through Aaghi LMS well before the due date.

Autumn 2026 Assignment Question Papers Are Available
While the complete Autumn 2026 deadline schedule is still pending, AIOU has already added Semester Autumn 2026 to its official Assignment Question Papers section.
The university currently provides Autumn 2026 assignment sections for:
- SSC and HSSC
- NFE and Literacy Certificate
- French online courses
- Bachelor programmes
- ATTC
- ADC and ADB
- BS and BBA
- B.Ed
- Postgraduate courses
Students can open the official AIOU Assignment Question Papers page and select the Autumn 2026 programme group that applies to them.
AIOUTutor also maintains an AIOU assignments hub for different programmes and course codes. The page links students back to official AIOU question-paper and schedule resources where appropriate.
Where to Submit AIOU Autumn 2026 Assignments
The submission method depends on your programme.
SSC and HSSC students: AIOU states that assignments are submitted to the assigned tutors.
BS, B.Ed, MA and MSc ODL students and equivalent programmes: AIOU instructs students to upload assignments through the Aaghi LMS portal using their university-provided LMS credentials.
Students whose courses appear in Aaghi LMS can access the university’s Aaghi LMS portal.
Before sending or uploading an assignment, confirm three things:
- Your course code is correct.
- You are using the Autumn 2026 assignment questions.
- You are following the submission method specified for your programme.
Do Not Use Spring 2026 Dates for Autumn 2026
AIOU’s academic calendar shows that the Autumn study period runs on a different cycle from Spring, so Spring assignment deadlines should not be carried forward to Autumn simply by changing the semester name.
The safest approach is to use AIOU’s official Assignment Schedule page for the final due dates. At present, the page contains programme sections for Matric, FA, BA/Associate Degree and higher programmes, but its principal schedule files remain Spring 2026 documents.
Once AIOU replaces these with Autumn 2026 schedules, students should check the row for their exact programme, assignment number and course type rather than relying on a general “AIOU assignment last date” shared elsewhere.
