For older records, AIOU also maintains its public result system, where historical records can appear as a Web-Based Result Intimation Card.
This page is for accessing and understanding that academic result record. If you only want to check whether your semester result has been announced, use the AIOU Result page instead.
Check Your AIOU Result Card
For a current student record, open the official AIOU Enrollment CMS and sign in with your student account.
After login:
- Open Academic Records.
- Select View Un-official Transcript.
- Review the available semester and course record.
- Use the available print or download option if shown in your account.
AIOU states that this CMS section can be used to check or download the unofficial transcript/DMC and that a computer-generated result-card copy is available there. The university also notes that this option can sometimes be disabled or unavailable temporarily.
Students looking for older semester records can also use AIOU’s official result system.
Do not assume that every AIOU result record is supplied as a separate PDF. The current verified CMS terminology is unofficial transcript/DMC, while older AIOU pages use Web-Based Result Intimation Card.
Result vs Result Card
An AIOU result and an AIOU result card are related, but they serve slightly different purposes.
A result normally tells you the outcome of a course or semester. If your main task is simply to check a newly announced result, see the AIOUTutor AIOU Result guide.
An academic result record or result card gives more detailed information about the courses recorded against your student record. In the current CMS, this broader academic record may be presented under View Un-official Transcript.
Older AIOU result pages identify their detailed document as a Web-Based Result Intimation Card. These older records should not be treated as proof that every current programme uses exactly the same layout.
Information Shown on the Result Record
The exact layout can vary by system and academic period. Verified AIOU web-based result records have included information such as:
- programme or degree level
- Spring or Autumn semester
- roll number and registration number
- course code
- assignment marks
- examination marks
- combined or conflated marks
- grade or GPA
- course result or status
Historical AIOU result cards show these fields course by course.
Your current CMS screen may not look identical to those older records, so rely on the information displayed in your own authenticated account rather than comparing its design with an old screenshot.
Result Card Not Available
If your AIOU semester result exists but you cannot see the detailed academic record, first make sure you are using the correct student account and checking Academic Records > View Un-official Transcript.
AIOU’s CMS support guidance specifically says that this service may sometimes be down or disabled. In that situation, students can use the university support system to request access or assistance.
Also check that you are looking for the correct Spring or Autumn semester. A missing record does not by itself prove that you failed a course.
For a simple result lookup rather than an academic-record problem, use the main AIOUTutor AIOU Result guide or the relevant programme result page.
Missing or Incorrect Course Result
If a course is missing, the marks appear incorrect, or your record does not match the examination you actually took, treat it as a result-record problem, not as a normal result-checking issue.
AIOU provides separate Result Revision and Application Form for Rechecking of Answer Script options in its official downloads section.
Keep your roll number, registration number, semester and affected course code available when reporting the problem.
Absent or Re-Appear Status
Older AIOU Web-Based Result Intimation Cards use status abbreviations including:
- ABST — Absent
- REAP — Re-appear
- AREAP — Again Re-appear
These meanings are printed on AIOU’s own historical result records.
If ABST appears even though you attended the examination, do not assume the status is final without checking.
AIOU’s official FAQ says an incorrect absent status can occur because of issues such as an incorrect or missing roll number on the answer script, or an answer script not being included correctly in the award record. In such cases, AIOU advises students to seek verification and correction of the result record.
Need Rechecking or Correction?
Use the correct route for the problem.
If your issue is a missing course, incorrect status, absent status despite appearing, or another record error, you may need result revision or correction.
If the marks are recorded but you believe there may have been an error in checking or totaling, use the rechecking procedure.
AIOU explains that rechecking is not the same as re-evaluation. Rechecking is used to confirm that questions or parts have not remained unmarked and that the marks have been totaled correctly. AIOU states that re-evaluation itself is not allowed under its prescribed rules.
For the separate procedure, use the AIOUTutor AIOU Result Rechecking guide rather than treating this result-card page as a rechecking application page.
