Students looking for the AIOU BA Date Sheet 2026 can check the latest Spring and Autumn examination schedule through Allama Iqbal Open University’s official date-sheet service.
One small point causes a lot of confusion: AIOU now lists BA General as Associate Degree in Arts, but many existing students still search for their examination schedule using terms such as BA Date Sheet, BA papers and BA exams.
So if you are studying AIOU BA General or the corresponding Associate Degree in Arts programme, this guide will help you find the correct examination schedule.
AIOU BA Date Sheet 2026
AIOU publishes examination schedules semester-wise rather than maintaining one fixed annual BA timetable.
For Spring 2026, the university’s current date-sheet section includes the examination schedule for its ODL programmes under programme groups such as 14BH and related categories.
Students should always use the latest official date sheet because examination dates can be revised after the initial schedule is announced.

How to Check the BA Date Sheet
- Open the official AIOU website.
- Go to Student Services.
- Select Date Sheet.
- Find your semester.
- Open the date sheet covering your programme.
- Check your course codes carefully.
- Save or download the schedule for reference.
AIOU currently maintains a dedicated Date Sheet section where semester-wise examination schedules are published.
Is BA Now Called Associate Degree in Arts?
Yes, this is an important update for students.
AIOU’s Spring 2026 programme information lists:
BA General – Renamed as Associate Degree in Arts
The programme code shown by AIOU is 0475.
AIOU’s Autumn 2026 prospectus section also places BA / Open Course under the Associate Degree programme category.
This means students may encounter different wording in university documents:
- BA
- BA General
- Associate Degree in Arts
- ADA
- Associate Degree programme
Do not assume your examination schedule is missing simply because the heading does not literally say BA.
Check your programme and course codes.
AIOU BA Spring Date Sheet 2026
AIOU publishes the Spring examination schedule after the relevant study period and examination arrangements have been finalized.
According to AIOU’s academic calendar, examinations for BA/BS/B.Ed/MA/MSc ODL and equivalent programmes are organized according to their semester schedule.
The exact date sheet should still be taken from the university’s current Date Sheet page rather than estimated from the general academic calendar.
Before the Spring Exams
Check these four things:
- your programme
- semester
- course codes
- examination centre
Your Roll Number Slip is also important because it contains examination-related information specific to you.
AIOU BA Autumn Date Sheet 2026
The Autumn semester follows a separate academic cycle.
Do not use a Spring date sheet for Autumn papers even if your course codes look similar.
When the Autumn examination schedule becomes available, check it through the same official AIOU Date Sheet section.
This page can remain evergreen by updating the official schedule section whenever AIOU publishes or revises the Autumn timetable.
BA Date Sheet vs Roll Number Slip
These two documents serve different purposes.
| Date Sheet | Roll Number Slip |
|---|---|
| Shows examination timetable | Shows student-specific exam details |
| Covers programme/course schedules | Issued for an individual student |
| Helps identify paper dates | Usually includes exam centre information |
| Published semester-wise | Generated for eligible students |
You normally need to check both before appearing in an examination.
How to Find Your Paper in the Date Sheet
A long AIOU examination schedule may contain many programmes.
Instead of looking only for the word BA, search by your course code.
For example, if your enrolled course has a specific numeric code:
- open the date sheet;
- use the search option in your browser or PDF viewer;
- enter the course code;
- check the corresponding date and time;
- verify it against your roll number slip.
Course-code checking reduces the chance of confusing your paper with another programme having a similar subject name.
Why You Should Not Rely on an Old BA Date Sheet
Older versions of this page contained dates and notification references from previous examination cycles.
That creates a serious problem for students because an old timetable may look valid even when the current semester has a completely different schedule.
For 2026, always check:
Semester + programme + course code + latest AIOU notice
rather than simply downloading the first BA date sheet you find through Google.
What If AIOU Revises the Date Sheet?
A university can revise examination arrangements after publishing the original schedule.
If that happens, the revised official notice should take priority over an older copy saved on your phone or computer.
Before your examination period starts:
- revisit AIOU’s Date Sheet page;
- check for revised schedules;
- compare your course codes;
- confirm the information on your roll number slip.
This is particularly important if there has been an announced postponement or examination-centre change.
AIOU Examination Schedule 2026
AIOU’s academic calendar provides the broader examination periods for different programme groups, while the actual Date Sheet gives the individual paper schedule.
Think of them this way:
Academic Calendar: tells you approximately when examinations take place.
Date Sheet: tells you when individual papers are scheduled.
Roll Number Slip: tells you information specific to your examination record and centre.
For an actual exam date, the current Date Sheet and any later revised notice are the documents that matter.
AIOU BA / Associate Degree Course Codes
Students should keep their enrolled course codes available when checking the date sheet.
AIOU’s current programme listings continue to recognize BA-related programmes within the Associate Degree category. For Spring 2026, AIOU lists BA General as Associate Degree in Arts and separately lists BA Open Courses.
That is why this page continues to use the familiar term AIOU BA Date Sheet while also explaining the current Associate Degree terminology.
Common Problems When Checking the BA Date Sheet
I cannot find BA written on the date sheet
Look for Associate Degree, the relevant programme grouping or your individual course code.
My course code is missing
First make sure you have opened the correct semester’s timetable. If the problem remains, check the latest AIOU examination notice or contact the university.
Google is showing an old date sheet
Check the publication year and semester before relying on it. Search results can continue showing older pages long after an examination cycle has ended.
My saved date sheet is different from the website
The university may have issued a revised schedule. Check which version is newer.
Do I still need my roll number slip?
Yes. The general date sheet does not replace your individual roll number slip.

Final Note
If you searched for AIOU BA Date Sheet 2026, AIOU BA Date Sheet Download, or AIOU ADA Date Sheet 2026, you are usually looking for the same examination information.
The important change is terminology: BA General is now listed by AIOU as Associate Degree in Arts, so always search by your programme and course codes as well as the familiar BA name.
Before appearing in an examination, verify three things:
your latest date sheet, your course code and your roll number slip.
That is much safer than relying on an old timetable circulating on another website or social media.
