View code 8601 past papers
Open a paper and read its printed course code, programme and semester first. A year in an image’s filename is not enough to establish the exam session. These files are hosted by AIOUTutor for study; they are not an official AIOU past-paper archive.
On a phone, open the JPG and use your browser’s Download image or Save image option. If the text looks small, zoom into the image before reading the questions. Keep the original file name or add the semester to your saved copy only after you can read it on the paper itself.
Check your B.Ed course code before practising
AIOU lists General Methods of Teaching (Professional), code 8601, in its B.Ed 1.5-year programme. A similarly named course in the current B.Ed 2.5-year Elementary Teacher Education and B.Ed four-year Elementary Teacher Education schemes carries code 6400. The shared course name does not make the exam papers interchangeable.
Check the code on your enrollment record or course information. If it says 6400, look for 6400 papers. If it says 8601, these older images may help you practise reading questions and planning answers. Your enrolled code matters more than a broad claim that a paper covers every B.Ed programme.
Past paper, assignment or guess paper?
These images are presented as old exam papers. A past paper shows questions from an earlier exam; it does not tell you what will appear in your next one. A guess paper is a prediction, while an assignment question paper is coursework for a particular semester.
For example, AIOU has published an official Spring 2026 code 8601 assignment question paper for B.Ed Special Education. It is useful only for the programme and assignment identified on that document. It is not a Spring 2026 final-exam past paper.
Use an old paper to practise within a sensible time limit, then return to your current course book and study material for any topic you could not answer. Do not rely on repeated questions as a guarantee.
Find other B.Ed papers
For a different course code, use AIOUTutor’s past-papers hub or its Old Papers archive. The site also has separate pages for 8603 Curriculum Development, 8604 Research Methods in Education and 8615 Management Strategies. Check the course code on each page before opening a file.
