There is no verified separate public AIOU tool where you simply enter your city or roll number to search a list of examination centres. The safest method is to check the centre printed on your latest official admit card.
Where to Find Your AIOU Exam Centre
AIOU allocates examination centres to students and provides the assigned venue through the roll number slip. According to the university’s examination information, the slip includes the address of the examination center and the dates on which your papers will be held.

The official CMS guidance describes a My Exam Schedule option where students can view or download their roll number slip.
Check the Centre on Your Roll Number Slip
After signing in to CMS, open the examination schedule or roll number slip available for your programme and semester.
On the slip, check carefully for:
- examination centre or venue name
- complete centre address
- roll number
- course or paper details
- examination date and time
Do not assume that your examination will be held at your nearest AIOU regional campus. You should appear at the venue actually written on your official roll number slip.
AIOU’s own FAQ also states that the location of the exam centre is mentioned on the roll number slip.

Confirm Centre Name and Address
Read the full examination-centre name and address before travelling. Two centres may have similar school, college or campus names, particularly in larger cities.
It is useful to identify the location on a map in advance, but the map result should be matched against the official name and address printed on your admit card.
Do not use an address found on Facebook, WhatsApp or an old examination post as a replacement for the current roll number slip.
AIOU has previously advised students that an exam venue or paper date may occasionally be revised during an examination period. In its Autumn 2025 final-examination instructions, students were told to check the CMS admit card again before the examination and print an updated copy if a change appeared.
For that reason, checking your latest admit card before travelling is a sensible precaution.
Exam Centre Not Showing
If your examination centre is missing from the roll number slip, first make sure you have opened the correct semester and current exam schedule.
If the slip is unavailable or its information is unclear, do not guess where to appear.
AIOU’s examination information advises students with missing or ambiguous roll-number-slip information to contact the Examinations Department or the concerned Regional Office.

Exam Centre Information Is Wrong
There is a difference between an apparent error and a request to move to a more convenient centre.
If the centre shown on your slip appears inconsistent with your university record, contact AIOU promptly and provide your registration details and roll number slip so the allocation can be reviewed.
Do not simply attend another centre. Your admit card is tied to the centre allocated by the university.
If the issue is that your circumstances have changed and you need another examination centre, you must follow AIOU’s centre-change procedure.
Can You Change Your AIOU Exam Centre?
AIOU does not normally allow examination-centre changes simply for convenience. Its published instructions say changes may be considered in genuine hardship cases and require supporting evidence.
AIOU announced on 12 August 2026 that students seeking an exam-centre change can submit the application through the Service Request Portal in CMS.
The current published centre-change instructions require the request to be submitted through CMS and state that applications through other methods will not be considered. They also list supporting documents, including relevant proof, CNIC copy, admit card and a paid Rs.1,000 fee receipt.
Centre-change windows can be tied to a particular semester, so check the latest AIOU announcement instead of relying on an old deadline.

What to Check Before Travelling
Before leaving for the examination centre, compare the latest admit card with your planned journey. Check the exact centre name and address, course code, paper date and reporting time.
Also make sure you are carrying the required examination documents. If CMS shows a revised admit card or AIOU announces a venue change, use the latest version rather than an older printout.
Most importantly, treat the official roll number slip/admit card as your source for the AIOU exam venue. An unofficial centre list, nearby campus or old address should not override the centre printed on your current examination document.
