Check your programme and semester first
Before looking for a slip, confirm the programme and semester shown in your AIOU enrollment record. MA, MSc, M.Com, MBA and M.Ed are different programmes. A date sheet for one group should not be assumed to cover another.
AIOU’s official date sheet page has separate listings for Spring 2026 programme groups. It also retains older schedules, including an Autumn 2024 listing that names MA and several other postgraduate programmes. Read the semester and programme heading before opening any schedule. A public date sheet tells you when a listed group has papers; your personal CMS slip identifies the papers and examination centre assigned to you.
If your enrollment record names a programme other than MA, use that exact programme when looking for your exam schedule.
Download your MA roll number slip from AIOU CMS
- Open the AIOU CMS student portal and sign in with your student credentials.
- Go to Exam and Grades, then open My Exam Schedule.
- Choose the correct programme and semester if the screen asks for them. Follow any remaining prompts for your registration details.
- Open the available slip or exam schedule and save or print a copy.
- Read the entire document. Confirm your name, programme, course codes, paper dates and times, and examination centre against your enrollment details.
AIOU’s CMS guidance identifies My Exam Schedule as the place to view or download a roll number slip. AIOU’s examinations guidance says the slip contains the student’s roll number, registration details, examination-centre address and paper dates. Check the issued slip again before travelling to a paper in case your exam details have been updated.
If you need broader help using the portal, see AIOUTutor’s CMS portal guide. Students looking for a different programme can start at the Roll Number Slips hub or the all-programmes roll number slip guide. Your AIOU record remains the source for your own slip.
What if the slip is not showing?
First, check that you selected the semester and programme in which you are enrolled. Look for the relevant course in your CMS record. The absence of an MA entry on a general web page does not, by itself, tell you whether your personal slip has been issued.
If your exam is approaching and your slip remains unavailable, or a displayed slip has an incorrect course or centre, contact AIOU through its helpdesk or your regional office. AIOU’s examinations guidance also directs students with a missing or unclear slip to the concerned regional office or its examinations office. Give AIOU your registration details and describe the specific programme, semester and error; avoid posting those details in a public comment.
If you cannot sign in, use the helpdesk or the helpline listed on AIOU’s CMS page for continuing students to request help with your credentials. If you want to change your examination centre, treat that as a separate request through AIOU’s CMS service request process; finding a slip does not change the centre printed on it.
Before you leave for the examination
Print or save the complete slip, read the instructions on your issued document, and take the identity document required by AIOU. Its examinations guidance tells students to bring their National Identity Card to establish their identity at the centre. Use the centre and paper details on your own slip, alongside any applicable official update, rather than an older date sheet or another student’s screenshot.
