AIOU Date Sheet Autumn 2026

Autumn exam schedule guidance

The general AIOU Autumn 2026 date sheet has not yet been published on the university’s official Date Sheet page. Students looking for their paper-wise exam schedule should use the official AIOU Date Sheet section when the Autumn 2026 timetable is released.

At present, AIOU’s Date Sheet page displays Spring 2026 schedules along with older Autumn date sheets, including Autumn 2025. It does not list a general Autumn 2026 ODL examination timetable.

AIOU Autumn 2026 Date Sheet Current Status

Students should distinguish between the academic calendar and the date sheet.

The academic calendar gives a broad period during which examinations are planned. The date sheet is the document students actually need because it lists the examination schedule for relevant courses and programmes.

According to AIOU’s current academic calendar, the general ODL Autumn examination period is scheduled from 1 March to 30 April. Face-to-face programmes follow a different calendar, with the general Autumn examination period shown from 1 February to 28 February.

These dates should not be treated as individual paper dates. Your exact course date, paper schedule and programme-specific instructions must come from the relevant AIOU date sheet when it is published.

Student type General Autumn calendar guidance What to check
ODL students 1 March to 30 April Official programme date sheet
Face-to-face students 1 February to 28 February Programme/faculty schedule
MS/MPhil/PhD Separate academic calendar Relevant faculty/research schedule
Overseas students May have a separate schedule International student date sheet

How to Download the AIOU Autumn 2026 Date Sheet

Once AIOU publishes the Autumn 2026 schedule, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official AIOU Date Sheet page.
  2. Look for the heading for Semester Autumn 2026.
  3. Select the date sheet that matches your programme or mode of study.
  4. Open the official schedule.
  5. Find your course code carefully.
  6. Note the paper date and examination timing.
  7. Compare the details with your roll number slip before appearing in the examination.

Check AIOU Date Sheets

AIOU publishes separate schedules where necessary, so do not assume that a date sheet for another programme, faculty or international student group applies to you.

Autumn 2026 Exam Schedule for ODL Students

AIOU’s academic calendar currently places the Autumn ODL study period from 16 November to 28 February, followed by the general examination period from 1 March to 30 April.

This broad calendar covers planning. The final date sheet may divide examinations by programme, phase or course group.

Students in programmes such as SSC, HSSC, Associate Degree, B.Ed, BS and other ODL programmes should therefore wait for the schedule applicable to their own programme rather than using an old Autumn date sheet.

Face-to-Face and Research Programme Students

Not every AIOU student follows the same examination calendar.

The current academic calendar gives the general Autumn face-to-face examination period as 1 February to 28 February. AIOU also publishes separate schedules for MS, MPhil and PhD programmes.

For example, the academic calendar for the 2026–2028 MS/MPhil/PhD cycle lists Autumn 2026 final-term examinations from 10 February to 22 February 2027. That schedule applies to the programme cycle identified by AIOU and should not be transferred to ordinary ODL students.

Date Sheet and Roll Number Slip Are Different

The date sheet provides the examination schedule for courses or programme groups.

Your roll number slip is student-specific and should be checked for the examination information issued for you, including the details AIOU provides for appearing in the exam.

Do not rely on an old date sheet, a social-media image or another student’s schedule simply because the programme name looks similar.

Also, Aaghi LMS is primarily presented by AIOU as its learning-management platform for activities such as workshops and assignment submission. Students should not assume that logging into Aaghi is the official method for finding the Autumn date sheet unless AIOU specifically directs them there.

What to Do If AIOU Revises an Exam Date

Examination schedules can occasionally be revised for a particular paper, programme, examination centre or area.

If you see two different dates for the same paper:

  1. Check the official AIOU Date Sheet page.
  2. Look for a revised schedule or examination notification.
  3. Compare the course code, semester and programme carefully.
  4. Follow the newer official AIOU notice where it clearly replaces the earlier schedule.

Avoid treating WhatsApp forwards, Facebook posts or screenshots without an official source as final examination instructions.

AIOU Date Sheets for Specific Programmes

If you need a programme-specific guide rather than the general Autumn semester status, these AIOUTutor pages may be more useful:

Students studying outside Pakistan should particularly use the overseas guide because AIOU may publish a separate international-student examination schedule.
