The search is also available through AIOU’s Books page. It provides digital course books without sending you through a bookstore order.
Find your enrolled course book
- Write down your course code and programme. Use your current enrollment record, rather than a code from an old assignment or a friend’s book. Continuing students can access their enrollment through AIOU’s CMS page. If you need help finding that record, see AIOUTutor’s CMS portal guide.
- Search the AIOU soft-books catalogue. Try the course-code field first. You can also choose a programme cluster and browse its results.
- Check the result before saving it. Open the book and read its first pages. The code and title should match your enrolled course. Check the programme and book details as well; a similar title alone is not enough.
- Download or save the PDF using the option shown by your browser or PDF viewer. On a phone, the file may open in a new tab before a download option appears.
For example, AIOU’s Compulsory English-I PDF identifies the title Communication Skills and lists codes 1423/5404/9407 on its opening pages. A student enrolled in code 1423 can use those details to compare the file with their record. This is one verified example, not a download link for every English course. online.aiou.edu.pk
If your course code returns no book
First, check each digit against your enrollment record and try the programme search. If you find a book with a close title but a different code, do not assume it is your course book. Some books list more than one applicable code, so open the file and read its cover before deciding.
If the correct book is still absent, use AIOU’s Helpdesk to ask about the digital material for your enrolled code and programme. Include the course code and book title in your request. The catalogue’s search fields show how to look for a book; they do not guarantee a PDF for every course. online.aiou.edu.pk
If the PDF will not open
Try opening the result in a new browser tab. If the file starts downloading, look in your device’s downloads folder and open it with a PDF reader. A large book may take longer to load on a mobile connection. If the official link repeatedly fails, report the course code and the failing link through AIOU’s Helpdesk. Avoid replacing it with an unverified file that merely has the same name.
Course books, helping books and printed orders
An official course book is AIOU study material that you should match to your enrolled course. A key or helping book is supplementary material; its title does not establish that it is the official course text. The AIOU Bookstore serves book orders and has its own order tracking. Its tracking option is not the soft-books search. online.aiou.edu.pk
